Has there ever been a time when you’ve been embarrassed about your driving? I remember when I could barely drive 200 yards and yet the people around me at the range were hitting it nearer 300 yards! Avoid the mistake I made and become the best golf driver you can be.

I remember watching in envy as the people next to me were were hitting their golf balls as far as the back fence. Every time I took my driver out and tried to break the 250 yard barrier I would fail miserably. To make things worse the more I hit the ball the worse I would become, ending up making completely duff shots much to my embarrassment.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but because I was so desperate to reach the distances that other people were getting, I was trying to hit the ball as hard as I could. The harder I tried to hit the ball the worse I became.

It’s a common problem with amateurs, trying to hit the ball too hard. It’s easy to sit here and think yes, I won’t do that. But in reality when you get out on the course or are at the driving range it’s easy to forget. Don’t make the same mistakes I did, get some sure fire drills to improve your driving.

In my opinion, when you’re at the driving range, you should make use of your practice time by hitting your longer clubs.find out some good drills that suit your playing style and stick to them. Don’t make the same mistakes I did and hit balls as hard as you can one after another.

When preparing for your driver’s test, you’re undoubtedly trying to digest a lot of information about what you need to do in order to pass. You are studying and practicing every single day in hopes of getting everything right in front of your examiner. However, have you ever put any thought into the things you SHOULDN’T do?

There is a lot of information out there that will help you, but you might find that focusing your studies on things that you shouldn’t do can make preparing for your driver’s test a bit easier. Learn about the mistakes that other students make when they fail and you’ll be less likely to make them yourself. Here are a few things that you should NOT do when taking your driver’s test:

Forgetting any of the controls. One common mistake that many student drivers make is forgetting what certain controls are for. Don’t bother to take your test if you’re not 100% confident that you know where all the controls are located and what they are for.

Braking too hard. Whatever you do, always be careful when braking. Remove your foot slowly from the accelerator as early as possible. Coast gently and lightly—you will lose points if you don’t.

Forgetting to slow down when you should or slowing down when you should not. Always make sure you’re going the speed limit, unless you need to slow down for a stop. Whenever you change lanes, try going the same speed as other drivers. It’s a common mistake for people to think they have to slow down when changing lanes, so make sure you don’t do this.

Staring at the wheel or your hands. Your eyes should be observing your surroundings at all times. Know what is in front of you, to the sides, and behind you. Know where your eyes should be and when.

Everyone feels nervousness before and during driving tests. Thankfully, the nerves and anxiety can be minimized, just as long as you know what you’re up against. You need to study tips and guidelines so that you’ll know what to expect the day of your testing. The more knowledge you have beforehand, the more confident you will be, which means you won’t make that many mistakes.

Keep in mind that the testing may be rigorous because the DMV wants to be absolutely certain that they only give licenses to the safest drivers. Don’t let it upset you if you mess up and see the examiner taking notes. They’re just there to do their job, and they may even be nice if you present yourself as a qualified individual.

You will need to be able to: make proper turns, signal correctly, stop at traffic lights and stop signs, change lanes, parallel park, and so forth. You need to practice every single day before your test in order to make sure you know exactly what you’re doing. Knowing, understanding, and doing: all three of these are needed for passing your driver’s license test.

If you end up failing, try not to take it to heart. A lot of people don’t pass the very first time they take the test. It doesn’t make them a bad driver; everyone makes mistakes. Simply take note of where and how you messed up and work on improving yourself for the next time you take the test. There is no mistake you can’t learn from. Just study, practice, and work on improving so that you can pass next time.

Are you one of the thousands and thousands of golfers that enjoy hitting long drives? There’s nothing quite like stepping out on the first tee and hitting a massive drive. Many people put too much emphasis on the equipment that they use, don’t make that mistake. Make sure you have a sound swing before spending loads of cash on a new golf driver! Having said that, the Taylormade R5 driver can certainly help with enormous tee shots.

I personally believe that a sign of a good golfer is someone who can pick up any golf club without complaining about it and make a decent shot. I’m not a fan of new technology and I don’t often change my driver. When my buddy bought the latest Talylormade R5 driver, I thought I may as well give it a go.

As you may know Taylormade have never shied away from producing different looking drivers in the search of added yardage and the R5 follows this trend. Once you see it I’m sure you’ll agree.

Not being a fan of new technology, and having stuck with my old driver for many years I was a little bit dubious. This feeling soon disappeared though after a couple of drives. Once I had gotten used to it I was soon impressed with both the distance and accuracy.

I have to admit, with more than 12 years of hands-on experience interviewing candidates for various positions, I find that the biggest mistakes aren’t made during the face-to-face interview; the ones that have really shocked me have been when I’ve interviewed a candidate over the phone. I find this especially serious for those who are looking to WORK FROM HOME or TELECOMMUTE. So if that’s you, listen up; I’m about to save you from making a mistake that will most definitely cost you the job.

I would assume, if you’re interviewing for a position, it’s because you want the job; I wouldn’t assume that you’re just wasting your time and mine by having a phone interview if you weren’t truly interested in the position or didn’t want to learn more about it. Yet I find that some candidates just don’t take the phone interview very seriously. Let me be very clear here-the phone interview is the hiring manager’s first impression of you (aside from your resume, of course). You don’t want your first impression to be, “I don’t care enough about this position to use proper telephone etiquette.” MAKE IT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION.

If you are interviewing for a work-from-home position or a telecommuting position, then this is not only your first impression but may be the ONLY impression the hiring manager will have of you; and it’s even more critical to ensure that you’re conveying your interest in the opportunity-but also that you take this position seriously.

The number-one way to turn off the hiring manager and ensure that you don’t get the job is to conduct your telephone interview while driving. Others may disagree with me, but to me, this is the biggest mistake you can make-especially if you want a work-from-home position. This tells me that you don’t take the opportunity seriously enough to set aside dedicated time to talk without distraction. It also tells me your consideration for my clients will probably be about the same-or worse. If you don’t take the interview seriously, then the hiring manager will make the assumption that you won’t take the position seriously either; and when it’s a work-from-home or a telecommuting position, that can be very damaging.

If you’re driving while interviewing with me, it tells me that you’re distracted; you’re not taking notes, you’re not giving your complete attention to answering or asking questions, and you’re not evaluating the position. I can also hear the background noise, and it can be very distracting.

It’s critically important during a phone interview to communicate that you value the interviewer’s time and that you take the position seriously and will do your best. Putting your best foot forward during a phone interview shows the hiring manager you’ll put your best foot forward with their clients, customers, and needs.

Getting charged with a DUI is often after deciding to drink and drive. Let’s be fair – most DUI arrests come after some drinking. On the other hand, other drugs can also lead to a DUI (one common mistake). So let’s get right down to it. What can you do to avoid mistakes before, during, and after a DUI arrest?

Using Legal Drugs – and Illegal Ones
One key mistake people make is ignoring that DUI does not stand for “alcohol only.” Actually, using even legal drugs can lead to a DUI. If you take any legal drug which effects your ability to drive, you can be charged. And some even use illegal drugs and drive, thinking it does not effect their abilities. You can be tested for both legal and illegal drugs via a blood test; if an officer believes you are clearly under the influence of some drug, he or she can arrest you on the spot. Once you get blood and sometimes urine tests taken, any drugs in your system will show up. This is no better than drinking and driving. So be clear on whether a legal drug will effect your ability to drive by asking your doctor, and never mix illegal drugs with driving.

Thinking You Can Still Drive
If you ever watch sports you might hear of the “Monday morning quarterback.” Well, yes you can say “don’t drink and drive” but sometimes you may make a mistake. The important thing to do is know that no amount of alcohol or drug use is safe to mix with driving. But not all legal drugs will effect your ability to drive; you need to find out. Most commonly, those who drink alcohol and drive believe they are fine. Drinking and driving is a leading cause of death in all 50 states because of decisions like that. Even if you have just a “few” drinks, you should be safe and avoid driving. Alcohol effects everyone differently.

Telling the Officer too Much
Once you’re arrested, the officer will read you your rights. Listen to them, because what you say can be used against you. Do not give the officer any information which might hurt your case. This does not mean you lie. It means you do not create a problem before facing a judge.

Not Hiring a Lawyer
The biggest mistake in DUI cases is not hiring a lawyer. There are some major horror stories when it comes to drivers representing themselves in court: accepting a plea bargain too early, not knowing when and how to present evidence, unaware of how the laws are written, and a list of other mistakes. Hiring a lawyer is the very best decision you can make.

Listening to Advice
Yes, you can listen to advice from friends and family who’ve been in similar situations. But only to a certain degree. Your lawyer is your legal expert, not your relative who beat a DUI. No two DUI cases are exactly alike.

Waiting to Hire a Lawyer
Beyond hiring a lawyer, you may think it’s okay to just call one a few days before the trial. Your DUI lawyer needs to be able to prepare for your case. This means you should hire one immediately. If you call a DUI lawyer a day or two before the trial, you are giving them little chance to do things like collect evidence, witnesses, and experts. At the least, give your lawyer several weeks to a month to prepare.

If you’re going through a break up right now then your emotions are super charged and heightened and you’re just not acting like yourself, am I right? Here’s the top 20 breakup mistakes that are not only driving your ex totally nuts but ensuring that you’re never going to get back together. I’m going to reveal what they are and then explain to you how you can completely clean the slate and still get them back.

I’ve compiled my top 20 break up mistakes after months of counselling both men and women in 31 countries going through a very painful break up. I invite you to read every single one and take notes if you need to and keep reading to the very end where I reveal how you can STILL get them back even if you’ve made every single mistake on this list!

Mistake #1 – Allowing Your Ex To Totally Control Your Life

You and your ex may not even be aware that they are doing this or that you are actually allowing your ex to do this but after your break up you gut reaction is to totally analyse virtually every facet of your relationship and your break up to the verge of driving yourself nuts.

That’s not going to achieve anything and will only keep you stuck in the healing process.

Mistake #2 – Staying Friends With Your Ex

Many brokenhearted people stay friends with the ex for one sole reason – in the hope that one day they’ll realize that they’re really meant to be together.

WRONG. Once you get set in the friend trap it’s very hard to get out of and it’s not something I recommend.

Mistake #3 – Bombarding Your Ex With Text Messages

Basically you’re not leaving your ex alone because you’re not wanting them to get on with their life without you.

This is one of the worst things you can do because often all it does is ensure that they’ve made the right decision not being with you right now.

Mistake #5 -Firing Off Angry Emails To Your Ex

As above, when you make this mistake you are venting on your ex angry at the pain that they’ve caused you.

THIS IS A NO-NO because all it will do is drive potentially a permanent wedge between you and will ensure your ex moves on real fast.

Mistake #6 -Firing Off Desperate Emails To Your Ex

This mistake is different to the one in #5 because rather than being angry you’re being desperate. You’re acting pretty wimpy trying to get your ex to understand how much they’ve broken your heart and how much you need them in your life.

When you behave in this way you’re acting high maintenance and also way too desperate and that is NOT going to be attractive to your ex!

Mistake #7 -Ringing Your Ex Around The Clock

Let’s face it, you’re not ringing them up with good intentions – you’re ringing them up because you want to know where they are, are they home, who are they with, is someone at home with them?

This kind of harassing behaviour could end up with you being served with an AVO so hold off, this is not the way to get your ex’s attention!

Mistake #8 -Stalking Your Ex Regularly At Places Where They Hang Out

Right, all of a sudden you have this insane desire to just be wherever your ex goes — because if you aren’t there how are they ever going to think about you now that you are no longer together, right??

WRONG! Not only will this not look like a coincidence but it will really put your ex off, it will put your friends off and your ex’s friends off and you could end up with a nice little visit from a policeman!

Mistake #9 – Lending Your Ex Money

So you’re throwing good money after bad at your ex because you believe this way you’ll be able to stay in contact with your ex and they’ll “owe you”.

WRONG AGAIN. You’re setting yourself for not only an emotional fall but a financial fall here….Once your ex knows they can come to you as their automatic ATM they’ll be feeding you with lies and crap to make you feel that you’re special to them…..but there will always be a BUT!

Mistake #10 -Staying Friends With Your Ex’s Family

While there’s nothing wrong with being on friendly terms with your ex’s family, if you suddenly start hanging out with them in the hope of accidentally bumping into your ex then that’s not a good thing.

Mistake #11 -Trying To Make Your Ex Jealous

The key to making someone jealous is NOT making it obvious. However, many people unfortunately aren’t very good at this and make it real clear when they have their cousin’s best friend from interstate playing their instant love interest when they come into town on a quick visit.

You’ll actually have much better luck by moving on with your life and not being afraid to meet new people.

Mistake #12 -Having Sex With Your Ex

Yep, I had a fellow email me recently saying we’ve just broken up and we’re seeing each other tomorrow to have sex, is that okay?

Why would you think that’s okay?

I mean, if you want to be your ex’s boyfriend or girlfriend you have got to stop acting like their girlfriend or boyfriend when you’re no longer in a relationship with them — otherwise what incentive will they ever have to get back together with you.

Mistake #13 – Constantly Asking Your Ex For A Second Chance

You can’t cope without your ex, that’s clear, but you don’t need to make it constantly obvious to your ex all the time.

While that will certainly stroke their ego it will also drive them probably totally crazy so lay low and you’ll achieve much better results.

Mistake #14 -Bad Mouthing Your Ex to Your Family And Friends

Unless you plan on never getting back together with your ex don’t talk badly about him or her to everyone close to you. And definitely don’t reveal some juicy tidbits that your ex would die if she knew you’d told them.

You’ve got to think of the big picture here….Your ex will never come back to you unless she’s 100 percent comfortable in doing so.

Mistake #15 – Bad Mouthing Your Ex To Their Family And Friends

It applies even more so to the friends and family of your ex. Don’t ever think for a moment that they’ll keep their conversations with your ex private from them.

If you bad mouth her you’re going to not only get your ex’s hackles off side but also those of their friends and family!

Mistake #16 -Throwing Pity Parties

Another desperate effort to get back together – making your ex feel so sorry for you….some people even dare to say that they’ll kill themselves if they don’t get back together with you.

Not only is that blackmail that’s totally childish and an unfair kind of pressure to put onto your ex — and your relationship, even if you got back together, would have low chances of success!

Mistake #17 – Driving Your Friends And Family Insane By Always Talking About Your Ex

Okay this is going to hurt a little but you did have a life before your ex – and guess what — you managed to actually carry some interesting conversations before you met your ex. So don’t drive your friends and family totally nuts and isolate yourselves from people who really care about you.

Mistake #18 – Coming Across As Needy And Clingy To Your Ex

This may be your gut reaction but all this behaviour is going to do is reinforce your ex’s desire not to be with you because you’re so high maintenance.

Mistake #19 -Giving Threats And Ultimatums

You’re desperate and totally acting irrationally and all you want is your pain to go away so you’ll do just about anything to get your ex back.

Dishing out threats and ultimatums isn’t going to bring you a happy ending so behave with self-dignity instead and you’ll be amazed at the difference.

Mistake #20 -Being Vengeful

You’re angry and you want them to HURT so you’re gonna pay them back, right??

WRONG! You’ve got to think long term here…..that is going to not only infuriate your ex but everyone they know and could also land you in a lot of trouble with the law!

Hey, I said 20 break up mistakes but I’m going to throw in one more for good measure, okay.

BONUS – Mistake #21 -Making False Promises That You’ll Change

Okay, we all have some little things that we could probably improve about ourselves and some of these may be quite realistic….however, others don’t even bother.

Deciding to forego professional moving services to move yourself may give you the freedom to set your own pace for your relocation, but it also means taking on the responsibility of driving a moving truck. Few people have experienced driving large moving trucks, which can prove to be quite hazardous if not done properly. Make sure you don’t approach driving a moving truck the same way you do a regular car.

Here are a few tips to make the long haul with the truck easier while on the road:

Pay Attention to Your Side Mirrors

The sheer size of moving trucks plus obstacle of the bed in the back makes it impossible to see behind you. That means that you will have to rely heavily on your side mirrors. Guide your driving as you backup, switch lanes on the highway, and park the moving truck. If you’re parking the truck for a rest stop, have someone help you maneuver the truck properly by guiding you from the outside.

Your Turns Need to Be Wider

All trucks, regardless of whether or not they’re moving trucks, have to make wide turns because of their huge size. As the driver of a truck, you need to give yourself enough room to make turns on city streets. Not making the turns wide enough could end disastrously. You could damage the truck from the moving companies you negotiated with and have to pay for the costs, you could damage city or personal property, and you could even damage the goods you’re hauling in the back. To successfully pull off a wide turn, turn the truck’s steering wheel later than you would normally.

Stick to the Right Side of the Highway

Professional truck drivers, those with a CDL license, are the only ones who have the experience driving in lanes other than the right. Don’t make the mistake of driving the truck like you do your sedan. Stay on the right lane of the highway. Remember, the right lane is for slower moving vehicles and the left is for passing. Though it may take a while to get to your destination, you need to consider your safety and that of other motorists on the road when hauling an unfamiliar truck.

Don’t Reverse Too Much

Backing up in a moving truck is a huge hassle, especially if you’re driving alone, and you will have to deal with it as you pull up to your new driveway. Before that happens, try to limit the amount of times you need to reverse. Park the truck in areas that let you drive straight through or where you can make a full turn-around.

Look at All Street Signs

Since you’re driving a truck now, different rules apply. Keep your eyes peeled on the road signs that have truck restrictions and overhead clearances. Know what the measurements of the moving truck are before you start driving and keep them written in front of you while you’re in the cab.

Don’t get frazzled with the idea of driving a moving truck. Professional movers may have years of experience under their belt, but you have the can-do attitude that will make this move a successful one. With these simple tips to keep in mind, you’ll be coasting easily through to your final destination with no damage done!

How would you like to drive the ball long and straight? If you are just beginning to take up golf, actually getting the ball off the ground when you’re driving is one of the hardest things to do. A lot of people make the mistake of buying a beginners golf driver. Don’t make this mistake.

If you’re just starting out at golf you should just stick with a normal golf driver. Don’t be tempted to go for a beginners driver. Instead, you should just stick to your regular driver and learn how to hit it properly.

I know it’s hard, when I first started out, driving was the hardest part of the game. Now it’s my strongest point. It took me a long time before I realised where I was going wrong. I was trying to hit the ball too hard. When you are starting out you should just make sure that you are making contact with the ball, worry about the distance later.

As soon as you start making good contact regularly, you can start to think about improving the distance. There are several ways to improve the distance, but when you are a beginner just focus on making good contact. If you don’t get any loft at first don’t worry about it. The one thing you shouldn’t do is resort to buying a beginner’s golf driver. Be patient and eventually you will be able to get the height and distance like the pros.
